Peanut butter update

This is in response to the many phone calls we've had about the recall and the posts to this site.

If you have PETER PAN peanut butter with the code 2111 ( the first 4 numbers on the lid) TOSS IT OUT .. take the lid back to the store you bought it from, or suspect you bought it from - for a refund.

If you or any family members have taken ill - call your family doctor.

I had a jar of the recalled peanut butter - we ate more than half the jar. No one got sick. What that means is not ALL the jars are tainted. So, if you've eaten from a jar with that code, don't panic. If no one's taken ill - you're in the clear .. but TOSS IT ANYWAY .. and get the refund.

As for the phone number Con Agra supplied for consumers to call .. I'm sure it's being flooded and that's why you can't get through or the call is disconnected. The call volume should slow in the next few days.
